Inaugural Report to the State and State House Visit Opportunity

The LaSalle Council is happy to announce that on Monday, February 17, 2025, Presidents’ Day, we are part of a state-wide Scout assembly that will present the inaugural Report to the State for Scouting America at the Indiana State House in Indianapolis. Scouts from across the state will assemble for this special event. Following the program, we will tour the State House.

This Statehouse Visit is a Class A Uniform event and will satisfy the following Merit Badge requirements:

• Citizenship in the Community, 3 (a)
• Citizenship in the Nation, 7 (b)

While we would like to offer this opportunity to everyone, we are restricted to a total of 40 Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, and Unit Leaders.

DATE: Monday, February 17, 2025 (Presidents’ Day, no schools are in session)

LOCATION: Depart and return to the LaSalle Council Service Center, 1340 South Bend Ave., South Bend, IN 46617

TRANSPORTATION TO INDIANAPOLIS: A chartered bus at no cost to 40 registrants

TIME: Participants must arrive by 7:30am EST/6:30am CST,  we will return approximately 5:30pm EST/4:30pm CST

SUPPLIES: Water bottle for the bus, bring your lunch if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions

LUNCH: Provided at no cost to the first 40 registrants
