Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Who can submit the Internet Recharter?
A: The Key 3 (Charter Organization Rep, Committee Chairman, Unit Leader) or any Key 3 delegate can submit the renewal.
Q: Is an access code required?
A: No, an access code is not required. The Key 3 and any Key 3 Delegate access Internet Rechartering using the same credentials used to access Scoutbook.com or My.Scouting.
Q: Can a unit submit a charter without the required leadership?
A: No. A unit will receive an error if the required leadership is not met, or they attempt to assign multiple leader positions to a volunteer. They cannot move forward in the process until the error is corrected.
Q: Can a unit submit their charter if a volunteer does not have a current Youth Protection Training?
A: No, all adult volunteers must have a current Youth Protection certificate to be included on the recharter roster. New adults who are not registered receive a Member ID which is listed on their Youth Protection certificate when they complete Youth Protection training.
Q: Can a unit enter Youth Protection Training dates into a person profile through Internet Charter Renewal?
A: No, the renewal processor does not have the ability to enter Youth Protection Dates into a person’s profile.

An Important Note on Fee Payment:
We STRONGLY recommend you do NOT pay your charter renewal fees online! Doing so eliminates our ability to help make edits or corrections to your charter after submission.
Payment may be submitted at the Morris-1st Source Scout Center (MAP: 1340 South Bend Avenue, South Bend, IN 46617) during our standard hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time (7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Central Time) Monday through Friday or by calling us at (574) 289-0337 to pay by credit card.
