Why Join Cub Scouting?
Your time is valuable. More than ever, today's families struggle to find time to spend together. Cub Scouting supports your family by providing opportunities for you and your child to do things together.
Your child needs to belong to a group of boys his own age. Through this sense of belonging, he builds his self-esteem and learns to get along with others. As a parent, you want to be assured that the groups that your boy joins will teach values consistent with good citizenship, character development, and physical fitness.
In a society where your child is taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches him to "do his best" and to be helpful to others.
Best of all, it's FUN! Scouting is fun with a purpose!
How Does Cub Scouting Work?
Cub Scouting is a family program, and just like your family, all the members and parents chip in to make the program work. You join the program with your son and help him along the way.
Boys have a handbook at each grade level with adventures appropriate for their age group and developmental level. As the adventures are completed, your son earns recognition items he can wear on his uniform. For more information, or to join a pack, visit beascout.org.
