ABOUT SAKIMA LODGE

Some Facts about Sakima Lodge:

Sakima Lodge #573 is chartered to LaSalle Council #165.

LaSalle Council covers parts of 2 counties in Michigan and 6 counties in Indiana. LaSalle Council is divided into 4 districts. Dunes Moraine District covers most of Porter County in Indiana. Potawatomi District covers the lower west portion of Berrien County in Michigan and all of LaPorte and Starke Counties in Indiana. Algonquian District covers the remaining lower portion of Berrien County and the northwest corner of Cassopolis Counites in Michigan and St. Joseph and Marshall Counties in Indiana. Finally, Pioneer Trails District covers the remaining portion of Cassopolis County in Michigan and Elkhart County in Indiana.

As the council is divided into districts, so the lodge is divided into chapters. Each of the 4 chapter follows the same geographical boundries as the 4 districts. Wulihan Chapter serves Dunes Moraine District. Sauk Chapter serves Potawatomi District. White Beaver Chapter serves Algonquian District. Papakitchie Chapter serves Pioneer Trails District.



Annual membership dues are $10 per year. Dues for the year must be paid by November 30 of the previous year to be included on the charter. As an example: Dues for 2008 must be paid by November 30, 2007. Dues are to be paid at the LaSalle Council Service Center only. Payment must be made with the Official Sakima Lodge Annual Membership Dues Form. Note: Annual Membership Dues must be paid AND a current Membership Dues Form must be on file to participate in Lodge activities or purchase lodge memorabilia. You must also have your dues up to date - meaning your 2008 dues AND 2009 dues need to current. Yes - we check.
