As one of the four districts comprising the LaSalle Council, Boy Scouts of America, we strive to make Scouting thrive in our local communities. A Scouting district is a geographical area of the BSA local council, determined by the council executive board. District leaders mobilize resources to ensure the growth and success of Scouting units within the districts territory.

Our purpose as a Scouting district is to work through charter organizations and community groups to organize and support successful units. The end result of effective district support: more and more youth members receiving a better and better program.

BSA Mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

BSA Vision: The BSA will prepare ever eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen sand leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
