Leader Specific Training Courses Available Online

You can now complete many leader specific training courses at your convenience through the BSA "Scouting U Learning Site".  

To access:

  1. Visit and log in. Click the Youth Protection Logo or the Leader Training image on the right side.
  2. If needed, log in again (using the same my.scouting credentials) to the Scouting U site.
  3. Use the Course Catalog to choose learning plans
  4. Access your coursework at the "My Learning" link at the top of the page
  5. Learn!

If your BSA Member ID number is properly associated with your my.scouting account, your coursework will automatically update in the system. If not, print or screen shot the certificate completion and present it to your unit leader, district training committee, or your district professional for entry.

Training is a vital component to all levels of the "Journey to Excellence" (JTE) program and gives you the tools to deliver a program that will retain your scouts.
