Friends of Scouting (FOS)

You can contribute to the success of LaSalle Council scouting programs by supporting our
"Friends Of Scouting" fundraising program.

Scouting needs your support. Without it, how is the LaSalle Council going to provide resources
 this year? Have you been to Training? Been to one of our Council Camps or District Camporees?
Talked with your District Executive to help your unit with a problem? Participated in a District Event
like the Tiger Cub Fun Day? Received information from the records at the Council Office? Did you know our Council provides Insurance for your Chartered Organizations?

Did you think it was all funded from your $10 yearly registration fee or the small fees paid at events? Unfortunately, It's NOT!

It costs an average of $108 per Scout to provide these and other services. We ask each family or supporter to give this much ($108) to help pay for one scout, if they can afford it. A donation of $108 is only $9 a month. ($2.08 a Week! 29 cents a Day!). This is a very small price for a great program! Not everyone is able to give at this level. Please give what you can afford!

Friends of Scouting is the yearly fundraiser for our Districts and Council. It helps support funding for our three Council Campgrounds, Training Programs for Adults and Boys, Accident Insurance for Youth, Liability Insurance for Adult Leaders, Unit Recharter Materials, LaSalle Scroll Newsletter, Program Planning Materials, Special Events and Activities (Camporees, Scout-O-Rama etc.), Scholarships for Youth Camping etc., Council Service Center and Staff, Professional Staff, Special Recognition for Youth and Adults, and much more.

FOS is starting in now and although we know not everyone can afford to give $108 we do ask for 100% Participation! Give what you can! It makes a difference to your boys!
